The DEER AGE TOOL LITE guides the hunter or game manager in recognizing both the physical and behavioral characteristics of deer PRIOR to harvest by listing key attributes by age class and providing representative photos for each age class. No internet connection is needed so this can be used as a reference while actually hunting in the field. Where there are several methods to age deer AFTER harvest, this method, known as ‘field judging’ deer age, is the only way to subjectively estimate deer age while the animal is alive and “on the hoof”.
